This program has helped me in many ways. First, teaching me skills I am very interested in and which I never though I would have the opportunity to lean until I started the NPH-Team ENERGI program. Secondly, combining the work experience into an apprenticeship is more that I could have wished for, it is by far the best opportunity I have ever been a part of. Lastly, this program will help me graduate from High School and move forward in life. I believe this opportunity will make me mentally and physically more capable, and give me the confidence to do more of this kind of work and become successful in life. Thank you to Betty Ann, Brenda, David, Rick and everyone who has helped me.

This program has given me the opportunity to learn the hard skills involved in general maintenance work. It is has also helped me build my resume which will move me one step closer to finding a life-long career and not just a “job”. I really enjoyed the work because it gave me hands-on experience. The staff and co-workers are very unique and “one of a kind”. I am looking forward to moving ahead in the program, proving myself to be a good worker for NPH, and gaining more job security and eventually earning a higher wage. David is very informative and organized, and because of this it's been easy to learn and gain the experience required to be successful in the trade. This program has changed my life. I moved to this region last year and could not find any work in spite of putting in a lot of effort and being very motivated – no one would even give me a chance to work hard, which is all I want to do. Then I met Brenda and Dave and finally I am being given the chance I had hoped for, thanks to the work NPH is doing here. David had gone out of his way to help teach me and guide me in becoming a better worker and a better employee, and I believe, also a better person. Betty Ann and NPH have given me the opportunity to become an apprentice and this is not something that is easily done in Niagara. I am happy to be a member of the NPH-Team ENERGI. I want to thank everyone involved because it has changed my life.

This is the best program I have ever participated in, and I'm very proud to be a part of NPH-Team ENERGI. It is an amazing opportunity and I am grateful to betty Ann and NPH for hiring us as apprentices when there are so few people willing to do this in Niagara. I want to thank Brenda and David for all their work and the help they've given us.

Since I started the program I have leaned many new trade specific skills, and with much practice I have been trying to master them all. I have learned how to work safely and know how to replace windows, bathroom fans, timers, switches, toilets, thermostats, and install HRV's and vents properly. I will keep on working until my apprenticeship hours are completed. I would like to say a special thanks to Betty Ann, Brenda, David and any others that were involved who have devoted significant time and energy to this important process. I'd also like to thank Max for picking me up every day for the last month! Working with Dave has been a real blessing. He was always there when we needed tools, supplies or advice on how to get the job done. We're all going to miss working with him.
