Information for Youth Participants

Are you:

  • out of work and school and between the ages of 17 and 30?
  • interested in an apprenticeship in the construction trades?
  • looking for a career in the exciting field of energy conservation?

Team E.N.E.R.G.I. offers:

Skills:

  • Residential Constructiion & Renovation Skills
  • Apprenticeship Opportunities and Work Placements
  • Energy Conservation and Green Technologies

Certifications:

  • Fall-Arrest
  • First Aid/CPR
  • WHMIS

Each session is 24 weeks – you EARN 9.50/hr for 35 hrs/ week, while you gain valuable skills and work experience!

  • open to anyone between the ages of 17 and 30, who is not currently receiving Employment Insurance (E.I.)
  • program runs for 6 months (24 weeks), Monday to Friday 8.30 – 4.00 pm, and an average work week of 35 hours a week
  • each participant is paid at the current minimum wage rate
  • all tools, equipment and training are provided on site by qualified supervisors prior to any work taking place
  • 20% of the total program time would be in a classroom or workshop setting, while about 80% of the program would be directly engaged in work, on- or off-site
