Project in Difficulty Services

NPH staff have been approached by housing boards, Service Managers, The Agency for Housing Co-Ops, and CMHC to assist in the resolution of serious issues some housing boards are facing, such as:

  • Conflict
  • Financial crisis
  • Absence of staff
  • High arrears, etc.

These services are negotiated on an as-needed basis, and can include:

  • Arrears management and implementation
  • Operational review report and implementation
  • Financial system review and implementation of changes
  • Conflict of interest guideline review and recommendations
  • Tenant/member conflict resolution
  • Board conflict resolution
  • Provide on going support to the Board and make recommendations re: changes needed to the Board of Directors

NPH prides itself on the success rate of helping Boards of Directors of housing communities in crisis to work together as a team to overcome very difficult challenges, and emerge successful with break-even budgets and a cohesive well functioning housing community.
